Sadhu

The Master never wrote anything down, nor did he ask his followers to record his teachings.  His words are spirit and life.  Spirit can only infuse spirit.  Life can only infuse life.  The Master's teaching cannot be contained in the pages of a book.  Other great teachers left behind books to replace the living voice, to guide and help their bereft followers.  But the Master did not do this, because he has not left us.  He is always with us, and his living voice guides and counsels us.  His followers recorded his teachings after his ascension as a help to those who cannot yet perceive his living presence.  In the end, however, when people ask me, "What made you a follower of the Master?"  I can only answer: the Master.

The scriptures reveal much to us about the life and teachings of the Master and about the nature of God's love.  God the Spirit is the true author of the Bible, but this does not mean that every word, taken on its own, is holy or inspired.  It is not the words in themselves, but rather the meaning that is inspired.  The language used by those who wrote the books of the Bible was the language of everyday, not the language of spirit.  Only when we make direct contact with the author, that is, with God the Spirit, can the meaning become clear.  Just as many do not understand the Master, so too, they can not understand his words.

God has create us with spiritual faculties and powers, but these must be used or else they will decay and be lost.  Faith must be fixed on the living God.

Prepare Thyself

 Christ in Glory - Pokerwork and Acrylic on Birch Ply - R.E.B
Displayed in Lanchester  Parish Church, County Durham, UK.

'Prepare thyself for the Lord cometh'.  How to do this?  What do the words actually mean; is the Lord not always with you?

The Lord, who knows all and sees all is indeed always with you, you are part of Him, a part of His spirit.  How then is it said that He cometh?  He is indeed already here, always with you.  It is man's perception of the Lord that is the key here.  Man is not aware always of the Lord about him, hence the problems caused in the world.  It is only when man admits to knowing the Lord's presence is with him that good comes about and his knowledge of goodness is increased.

So to prepare for the Lord coming means merely to acknowledge the Lord and all His goodness.  Man then admits he is of the Spirit of the Lord and in turn must be goodness himself.  His physical body becomes a receptacle to hold this Spirit, which in turn helps his soul to fulfil its journey more peacefully and in greater Love.

Each person becomes a Church, or part of the Church of the Lord, which carries His message to others.
There should be no need to preach this message, but it can be shown by example.  Tret others with love, concern and dignity and the message of true love will be given.

To trust in that love is a huge undertaking, especially when life seems to be hard, indeed is hard.  However there are reasons for this and to recognise that all is done in and with love is the greatest trust you can have in the Lord.  For He loves you enough to bear with all your protestations and denouncements yet guides you where and when you will allow.

Love is magnificent.  Love survives all impositions if it is truly given and felt.

Dry your tears.......

Dry your tears, my friends, and raise your heads as the flowers
Raise their crowns to greet the dawn.

I have passed a mountain peak
And my soul is soaring in the firmament of complete and unbound freedom;
I am far, far away, my companions,
And the clouds are hiding the hills from my eyes,
The valleys are becoming flooded with an ocean of silence,
And the hands of oblivion are engulfing the roads and the houses;
The prairies and fields are disappearing behind a white spectre
That looks like the spring cloud, yellow as the candlelight
And red as the twilight.

The song of the waves and the hymns of the streams are scattered,
And the voices of the throngs reduced to silence;
And I can hear naught but the music of Eternity
In exact harmony with the spirit's desires.
I am cloaked in full whiteness;
I am in comfort; I am in peace.

Let your hearts sing with me the song of Eternal Life;
Mourn me not with apparel of black,
But dress in colour and rejoice with me;
Talk not of my departure with sighs in your hearts;
Close your eyes and you will see me with you forevermore.

Communication

Photograph by Allen LeBlanc

____________________________________________________

I have been asleep for a little while - my soul has been uplifted and renewed, my energy recharged and I am ready once again to face the world.  Returning to the earth is a difficult thing to accept after so long in the beauty and reverence of the world of Spirit.  I will endeavour to return, occasionally, to converse a little.
My name is not for speaking at this time, it is not important - your name is needed in earthly life for others to identify you but we need only to attune to the vibration of the soul we wish to communicate with.
 It is not always easy to do because many of us would rather not have contact with the baseness, the chaos, the confusion of earthly life.  But we must develop too and part of that development is to contact earth-bound souls to return them to the light and also to communicate the essence of Spirit to those wishing to develop towards their return to the light.
Listen to the words that will be offered when in silent contemplation you yearn to Spirit.  Do not be afraid to listen even to those words which would appear to be a contradiction but rather listen to their true meaning and you will discover their harmony.
Time is not as earthly time, logic is not as earthly logic - cast out your inbred prejudice - listen for and to the Truth that is revealed from the purity of Spirit.  It is good.
"Be not afraid for I am with you.  Take my hand.  Walk with me for a while until you return home."

The Garden of the Mind

With my garden filled with nettles,
I could not see the sky,
For the weeds of doubt were growing,
And the thorns of fear were high.

The soil was full of sadness,
It could only weep and sigh,
As I wandered through my garden,
Where I'd let my spirit die.

Then suddenly a light within,
Showed me what to sow,
And the things I set in season,
Came alive and began to grow.

In the centre of my garden,
I set the tree of love,
And with the tree of truth,
Came wisdom from above.

Here is the tree of faith,
And with hope guides my every way,
And they that walk beside me,
Share in my every day.

There is the tree of compassion,
And its fruits in harmony ring,
And the air above my garden,
Is filled with the voice of spring.

By the tree that speaks of freedom,
Abundance lifts its arms,
And my spirit grows in wonder,
In the knowledge of its charms.

Through the centre of my garden,
The breath of perfection sweeps,
And courage grows with gentleness,
And tears of joy I weep.

By the tender tree of forgiveness,
Life's gentle waters flow,
Now I wander through my garden,
For there's nowhere left to go.

And at last my garden is planted,
With the trees to fullness grown,
And I the gardener gather,
The harvest of that which I've sown.

And when the season of planting is over,
And my garden has finished its toil,
Then shall I live forever,
With all that I took from the soil.

From my scrapbook about 1976-8, the only note adjacent to it is that the verses were submitted by Maureen Wallage, Cullenan to a church newsletter.

Morning, Noon & Night.

Morning Prayer

Father Sun, power of illumination.  Thank you for shining today, for giving away your light and your love, bringing back the light-force to Mother Earth.  Thank you for your power to cut through darkness.  Help me to cut through it, to remember your light and love and to extend this to my family and all who cross my path today.  Help me to do today the things that matter, fill this day with kindness that I may be glad and rejoice.
With your help, may it be so.

Daytime Prayer

May I be filled with loving kindness,
May I be well,
May I be peaceful and at ease,
May I be Happy.
Help me to find love and joy in my life,
Be with me,
Be part of me.

Night-time Prayer

Loving Angels.
Allow the bonds of sleep to fall on my eyes, and slumber on my eyelids.  Cause me to lie down in peace and to rise again in peace.  Suffer me not to be troubled with evil dreams or evil reflections.
Grant me calm and uninterrupted repose in your presence and enlighten my eyes again.
Give light to the whole universe in glory.

War is of Man

War is of man, an earthly battle, the fruit of ego,desire and control.  War not, go in peace, travel lightly upon your earth.
What of disasters, disease, flood, famine and such?  Many are born of man and the rape of earth; your Mother can only sustain so much, can only recover if allowed to.
You breed, pillage your resources and violate your Mother and yourselves beyond all reason.  Should She not reply?
What of the way you divide yourselves by clan, class, country, language and so on - all is division.
Destruction will cease when unity is achieved.  Your petty squabbles and irritating ego trips do not bring peace and unity.
Mother Earth is generous.  Your Heavenly Father is generous.  The Holy Spirit is in all things if you but reach out in harmony and love.  The light of Spirit will shine the brighter when harmony is restored and Mother Earth and your Father in Heaven will bring a united energy to bear in time of peace.
Only mankind in wilfulness and greed takes beyond measure and invites chaos to reign.  All is provided for your needs, just open up your spirit eye and cast out self.

Prayer for Peace

Adorable Presence.
Thou who art within and without, above and below and all around.
Thou who art interpreting the very cells of our being.
Thou who art the Eye of our eyes, the Ear of our ears, the Heart of our hearts, the Mind of our minds, the Breath of our breaths, the Life of our lives, and the Soul of our souls.
Bless us Dear God, to be aware of Thy Presence in the East and the West, and the North and the South;
May Peace and Goodwill abide among individuals and also among communities and nations.
This is our earnest prayer.
May peace be unto all.
Om Shanti! Peace! Shalom!

                                                                     This is said to be a Hindu prayer.
