Birth Baptism

I received  news that I am now a great-grandfather( for the first time) the little girl was born on Friday 21st. March.  So I offer this Gaelic Blessing by Catherine MacNeill, a cottar on Barra, which was collected and translated by Alexander Carmichael.

To aid thee from the fays,

To fill thee with the graces;

To lave thee with the graces.
